What is mastery?
So what do we mean by mastery when we're talking about Morse code?

We think you define what mastery means for you. Every operator will have their own ideas about this.

Mastery might, for example mean:

  • Being able to send and receive at so many words per minute
  • Just being able to conduct a QSO on-air with confidence, without breaking into a sweat and tremors.
  • Properly understanding how to learn Morde code - overcome your own hurdles
  • Head copying POTA/SOTA activations at 18 wpm
  • Ragchewing at 25+ wpm
  • Contesting with the best of them
  • Breaking that pile-up every time
  • Optimising your station so you can have more CW QSOs
  • Overcoming your own specific Morse code stumbling blocks
    Moving beyond keyboard sending in contests and chasing DX
